What is the benefit to dual wielding

It looks like attack rate nor damage is better but the attack area is just bigger

Duel Wielding is purely for show, however the attack range increase is helpful. It doesn't increase any stats by duel wielding.

also keep in mind, when you dual wield, the game engine takes the average of your two one handers and uses that damage for both swords while duel wielding.

Duel wielding is supposed to be a buff so they use that system to make sure that you did not just get 1 powerful one hander and paired the powerful one hander with a toothpick of a sword one hander.

Actually it is more effective then single wielding a 1 handed longsword both with the attack area and it might have increased its crit rate because of the 1 of those swords have 12% crit rate so 12% might mean a 24% but im not sure and i get crits more often with dual wielding then single wielding so it might be possible for it to be true but thats just a theory

I think that duel wielding is for pure show I find attack range worth nothing because it’s only for people that make the enemy’s stuck and hit them without taking damage

Hitting a mob and not letting it hit you is a HUGE advantage tbh...
